Yakitori Tetchan

At the north exit of Kichijoji Station, there is an area of about 100 shops affectionately called Harmonica Alley or Harmonica Yokocho. Most of these shops are restaurants, and this yakitori restaurant in one corner is a lovely spot to stop into. We are working on the interior design of the Olympic Stadium.

They have a great selection of craft beer and other drinks, and there are tons of food options like yakitori. I couldn’t decide, so I asked the staff for recommendations and went with that.

Everyone was polite and helpful, so I felt at ease and got to enjoy some delicious drinks and food.

It’s a convenient 4-minute walk from Niigata Station, the main Hokuriku terminal served by the Shinkansen, and is open from 8 p.m. until early morning, making it easy to drop by for both locals and visitors. It’s close to the station, so it’s easy to get to.
They have a big drink menu, and you can also have fun with darts, billiards, and karaoke—it's a great dining bar.

The specialty of this restaurant is the "Maboroshi no Tebasaki", which would make you absolutely addicted for its spiciness and flavor of the "Maboroshi no Kosho（Phantom pepper）" and "Hiden no Tare(Secret sauce)".

Kakuda Misaki Lighthouse (Hanganfuna Kakushi)

This lighthouse stands on Cape Kakuda overlooking the magnificent Sea of Japan. The observatory at the foot of the lighthouse offers a magnificent view of the horizon. A short climb up the mountain trail behind the lighthouse provides a beautiful contrast between the white lighthouse and the azure sea below, and beyond that, the view is spectacular as far as Sado Island.

It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to climb the stairs from the base to the lighthouse, so sandals or heels aren't the best choice. Once you reach the top, the sea breeze and the view are amazing. If the weather is clear, you can even see Sado Island.

The restaurant is beautiful inside, and there's a Japanese-style courtyard that's perfect for taking commemorative photos. Since it's reservation-only, you can enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace. It's easy to access from outside the prefecture by bullet train or highway. There are also lots of metal product shops and manufacturers nearby, so it's great for souvenir shopping. Plus, it's right between Yahiko, Niigata City, and Nagaoka City, so you can easily combine your visit with other sightseeing spots.

Furumachi is a town that was formed in 1655. "Kushikatsu Sakata", located in this area that has a historic townscape that preserves the atmosphere of a bygone era, offers a wide variety of kushikatsu, one of Osaka's most popular local's favorite foods.

This place has a spacious interior, so you can dine comfortably. You order using a tablet, so there's no need to call the staff every time. The kushikatsu is delicious, and you can also enjoy beef tongue.

Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower was born in 1958. When it was built, Tokyo Tower proudly stood out as the tallest steel tower in the world. At a height of 33 meters, it was taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It is located in Minato Ward in the center of Tokyo. Take in sweeping views of the city from the observation deck. Currently under renovation, it is always changing.

If you have some extra time, I recommend walking from Hamamatsucho or Daimon Station. The distance isn't bad at all, and walking lets you really appreciate how big Tokyo Tower is as you get closer.

With its open terrace, Odaiba’s shopping center is set up like a ship’s deck. As far as the eye can see, the interior décor reminds visitors of the inside of a ship. Have fun shopping and dining while strolling on the deck and feeling a comfortable sea breeze, just like taking a luxury cruise around Tokyo Bay.
