This is said to be the largest MUJI in Hokkaido, and it's also the largest MUJI I've ever visited! It's very easy to get to, right next to the Goryokaku Koen-mae streetcar stop. I originally just planned to browse before going to Goryokaku, but once I went inside, I couldn't stop. It really has everything, with so many types of products that I wanted to look carefully through every section. I had been searching for Indian flatbread mix for a long time, and they had a huge amount of it here. I also finally found canvas shoes in the right size after searching for them forever.
And it's not just MUJI. There's also a large Loft on B1 that's great for browsing, with a very complete selection of household goods, beauty products, stationery, and small items. I had originally planned to spend only an hour here, but before I knew it, I'd completely lost track of time. It took me about half a day to finally leave Share Star. A large portion of what I spent during my few days in Hakodate went here. If you already enjoy browsing MUJI and Loft, I really recommend adding this place to your Hakodate itinerary.

THE GUARD KOWA INTESTINAL REGULATION TABLETS α³+
Kowa Company, Ltd., with a history spanning over 130 years, is known for offering a wide range of products, including pharmaceuticals. Among their products is THE GUARD KOWA INTESTINAL REGULATION TABLETS α³+, a highly effective digestive health supplement that promotes gut health.
While doing some research, I saw people say that compared with Wakamoto tablets, this is the more popular choice in Japan. The dosage is 3 tablets at a time, 3 times a day, and it can be taken for stomach discomfort, bloating, indigestion, and similar issues. After trying it myself, I also felt that its effects suited my needs better. However, it needs to be taken regularly, and the effects are more noticeable after taking it for several consecutive days. Finally, just a reminder that everyone's physical condition is different, so before buying, consider your own needs and then decide whether it's right for you.

Hanabatake Ranch Fresh Caramel by Hanabatake Ranch
Fresh Caramel is the signature treat swirled up at Hanabatake Ranch that launched a nationwide craze for “Fresh caramel” across Japan. Made with select ingredients like fresh milk from nearby dairy farms and Hokkaido cream, this handmade caramel is crafted with care by artisans who control the delicate heating and cutting process to perfection. The caramel’s impeccably smooth, melt-in-your-mouth bite seems to dissolve almost instantly. Fans around the world agree, awarding this treat the top Grand Gold Prize in the Monde Selection for 10 consecutive years starting in 2011.
This time I bought the Hokkaido-exclusive melon caramel. It has a rich melon aroma, and you can clearly taste the melon as soon as you put it in your mouth. However, this caramel isn't particularly chewy and is actually quite soft, so I personally didn't like it as much. Also, if you buy it in the summer, you may need to be especially careful about how you store it. In hot weather, it feels like it's about to melt, so I recommend keeping it refrigerated.

Tanukikoji Shopping Street
Tanuki Koji Shopping Street, with over 145 years of history is one of Hokkaido’s oldest shopping streets. It’s located in the center of Sapporo, stretching 900 meters from east to west with some 200 different shops. It has an arcade-style covered roofing, meaning you can enjoy shopping, dining, or an easy stroll no matter what the weather.
One thing you shouldn't miss in Sapporo is a “night parfait.” The place in the photo is Parfaiteria miL in Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and it's open until midnight, making it perfect for a parfait after shopping. The parfaits here aren't just delicious; they're also beautifully presented, and each one looks like a delicate work of art. When your order is served, it comes with a sheet explaining the ingredients in detail, so you can slowly figure out what's in each layer as you eat, which makes it even more fun.
Tanukikoji Shopping Street itself is great for browsing, with all kinds of drugstores, capsule toy shops, and souvenir stores along the way. You can find almost everything you want to buy here in one trip. If you're visiting Sapporo, I highly recommend setting aside a full day to explore Tanukikoji, stock up on cosmetics and souvenirs, and then enjoy a night parfait. -
