I watched a Japanese drama about Masataka Taketsuru, the Father of Japanese Whisky, going to Scotland—not only did he learn how to make whisky, but he also met his wife Rita. Knowing this story made visiting the distillery so much more interesting!

Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae
"Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae" is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from JR Sendai Station. There are facilities that will please not only businessmen but also tourists, such as free Wi-Fi connection, air purifiers with humidifying function in all rooms, and mobile phone chargers for various models.
Very satisfied! It's super close to Sendai Station, and the pillows and bed in the room are really comfortable. The location is so convenient—it's awesome to be able to get back to the hotel so quickly after transferring trains!

Matsushima Ichinobo
A hot spring resort with a panoramic view of the spacious garden and Matsushima beyond it. This is an all-inclusive plan, which means that all meals, drinks, and the use of the spa and other relaxation facilities are included in the price of your stay.
The whole hotel feels really comfortable, with a beautiful and quiet environment. The food is great too. Plus, the hotel offers a shuttle service, and you can take their bus to Sendai Station when you check out!

Zao Fox Village
A fox paradise in the mountains of Shiroishi City. More than 100 foxes of seven species, including north foxes , cross foxes , and arctic foxe s, are kept here. Visitors can feed and photograph the free-range foxes outdoors, and even hold a fox cub in their arms.
Getting here isn't very convenient, so I recommend using a Klook tour to solve the transportation issue. Also, it's best to visit in winter because the foxes' fur is super fluffy and cute! In summer, they shed their fur.
