Additionally, there are many seasonal ingredients in autumn, so going around trying all the different delicacies is also a great choice. As such, this article will introduce a sightseeing plan for Tokyo in the autumn, featuring delicious gourmet foods and walks through fun tucked-away secret places!

If you want to travel efficiently around Tokyo, your best bet is taking advantage of the subway and bus lines. The “Toei One-day Pass (Toei Marugoto Kippu)” from Toei Transportation (Toei Subway, Toei Bus, Tokyo Sakura Tram [Toden Arakawa Line], etc.) gives you unlimited rides for 1 day, making it both convenient and economical!

What is the Toei One-day Pass (Toei Marugoto Kippu)?

Valid for one full day, it offers unlimited access to Toei subways. This allows users to freely hop on and off Toei buses (including the Tama area), the Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line), and the Nippori-Toneri Liner. Mastering the Toei lines enables users to make their way smoothly without missing anything that Tokyo has to offer.

★Autumn Sightseeing Plan Using the “Toei One-day Pass”★

Start!! 9:45 at Shin-kiba Station

Our trip starts at Shin-kiba Station. From here, we’ll walk to our first destination, Yumenoshima Park, which features a tropical greenhouse. (About a 15-minute walk)

10:00 am Yumenoshima Park

Yumenoshima Park is a comprehensive park located on the site of a former garbage landfill. The park’s Tropical Greenhouse Dome is packed with exotic sights thanks to its rare tropical plants, including precious endemic species from the Ogasawara Islands.

You can also enjoy a light meal and drinks while looking out over the greenery at the park’s café.

Once you’ve enjoyed all that the greenhouse has to offer, it’s time to walk to the “Yumenoshima” bus stop. (About a 7-minute walk) We’ll take the TOEI bus “錦18” toward Kinshicho Sta. for about 13 minutes and get off at the “Kitasuna-nichome” stop. From here, “Sunamachiginza Shoutengai” is a short walk away.
※On Saturdays and Holidays, take the TOEI bus “急行05” instead.

12:00 pm Sunamachiginza Shoutengai

Sunamachiginza Shoutengai is a shopping street packed with around 180 shops along its length of around 670 meters. Even on weekdays the street is bustling with local customers.

Here you can enjoy cheap and delicious foods like shumai and menchi-katsu! There are areas to eat in at the front of many of the shops, so you can enjoy your food while it’s fresh!

After you’ve had your fill at the shopping street, it’s time for a bit of dessert! We’ll head back to the “Kitasuna-nichome” bus stop, take the TOEI bus “都07” toward Monzen-nakacho, and after about 20 minutes we’ll arrive at the “Monzen-nakacho” bus stop. Our next stop is a gelato shop that’s around a 2-minute walk from the bus stop.

2:00 pm RICCO gelato Monzennakacho[Closed Down]

Here at RICCO gelato Monzennakacho you can enjoy luxurious gelato, made with fruit and milk from Okinawa’s Miyakojima. They offer a total of 40 types of gelato, including 12 seasonally-limited varieties.

After enjoying our sweets, next we’re heading to the Toei Oedo Line’s “Monzen-nakacho Station,” around a 5-minute walk. Our stop is just one station away on the Toei Oedo Line, “Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station.” After getting off there, our next stop, “Koto City Fukugawa edo Museum,” is just a 3-minute walk away.

3:30 pm Koto City Fukagawa edo Museum

Koto City Fukugawa edo Museum is a facility that features various exhibits on the Edo period (1603-1868). Its permanent exhibit that features a life-sized recreation of a late-Edo period townscape is an absolute must-see! The exhibit’s sounds and lighting change every 15 minutes, transitioning from day to night.

After finishing up at the museum, we return to the Toei Oedo Line’s “Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station.” After about 3 minutes on the Toei Oedo Line, it’s time to get off at “Ryogoku Station” and head to our dinner at “Beer Club POPEYE,” about an 8-minute walk away.

6:00 pm Beer Club POPEYE

After enjoying dinner and some beer, it’s time for us to walk back to Ryogoku Station while savoring the crisp autumn breeze.

After about an 8-minute walk from “Beer Club POPEYE,” we’ll arrive at the final stop of our trip, the Toei Oedo Line’s “Ryogoku Station.”
