From the base of Mount Takao, consider using the cable car or chairlift

Mount Takao offers a variety of hiking courses for everyone from beginners to advanced hikers, but if you want an easy hike, you may also want to consider using the cable car or chairlift that connects the base and the mid-slope.
With the cable car or chairlift, it takes Approx. 1 hour to reach the summit.
Both stations are located along Nature Trail Course 1, where highlights and various facilities are scattered, so you can still fully enjoy Mount Takao even if you use the cable car or chairlift.
However, it gets crowded during cherry blossom and fall foliage season, and wait times of over 1 hour may occur.
If you’re visiting during a busy season, either hike without using the cable car or chairlift, or start your hike early in the morning.
