This green park adorned with seasonal flowers was named after Andersen, who is from Odense, Denmark, a sister city of Funabashi City. Visited by 800,000 people a year, it is the prefecture’s prominent theme park. The vast 38.3ha (95 acres)-grounds are divided into zones for different attractions.
Wanpaku Okoku Zone (Brat KIngdom Zone) offers athletic fields from the beginner to the advanced, mini railroad plaza, Wanpaku Castle with a giant slide, etc. You can ride a pony or pet rabbits.
Meruhen-no-Oka Zone (Fantasy Hill Zone) recreates a charming Danish landscape with Andersen fairy tale theater, a fairy tale hall with a library, a windmill and a farmhouse. Even if you are not outdoorsy, you will enjoy it here. Hana-no-Shiro Zone (Flower Castle Zone) is equipped with a net playground and mini gardens, great for little children.
Kodomo Bijutsukan Zone (Children’s Art Museum Zone) offers hands-on experiences in eight areas - ceramic, tie-dye, and Andersen Studio to experience his fairy tale world. In the Shizen Taiken Zone (Nature Experience Zone), you can plant rice. Look for your kind of attractions and enjoy yourself all day.

Three entrances. Busses arrive at the west and north gates. The north gate is close to the Wanpaku Okoku Zone with lots of playgrounds.
