This charming little ryokan in sits just a 5 minute drive from Shin-Taro Station on the Sanriku Railway, on top of a hill that looks out over the Pacific Ocean. While small in size, the inn boasts plenty of options at the main building, observation building and annex, offering 10 gorgeous guestroom options, each with a private open air bath. Every room is decorated with a Japanese modern aesthetic, furnished with Japanese bedding at the 3 rooms in Taro no An (main building), or twin beds in the Jiro no An observation building (5 rooms) and Sanro no An annex (2 rooms). On the room there’s even an indoor bath, open air bath and private open air bath available to reserve for remarkable views of the Pacific Ocean. Meals are served private in each room’s exclusive dine-in space for you to enjoy in relaxed luxury.
In the past, this inn was known as the Taro Kanko Hotel, but has moved and reopened after the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami in 2015 where it stands today.
