Yarimikan

A calm getaway tucked away in nature at a hidden spring in Oku Hida.

Last update :

This estate-style inn sits against the Kamatagawa River in Oku Hida. It’s known for its high quality water springs that use absolutely no chlorine filtration as a member of the Natural Spring Lodges Protection Association. The hot springs are built in a way that follows the surrounding nature as much as possible, giving you a chance to enjoy a natural soak in the elements.

With 8 different springs for you to enjoy and sample on your Oku Hida hot springs tour, like Yarimi no Yu, the completely shared open air bath that looks out over Yarigatake in the Northern Japanese Alps, the wide open men’s and women’s baths or the private open air bath available by reservation.

For guestrooms your find a wide selection of styles, including Japanese modern, rustic folk style, Japanese western rooms with their own open air bath, or private earthy villas with an ensuite bath to suit your travel needs.

The restaurant options are impeccable, offering a variety of options like grilled Hida-gyu Steak, Hoba Miso Steak, charcoal-grilled fish and more. There are a number of places in Oku Hida serving Hida-gyu Steak, but this is one of the limited few that’s a recognized, official Hida-gyu Restaurant. To top it off there are plenty of house-made fruit liquors loved by lady patrons and plenty of local sake to pair with your meal.
