Onigiri Cafe Risaku
A Japanese-style café where you can enjoy freshly cooked and freshly made onigiri (rice balls) along with homemade side dishes.
Located near Sendagi Station, Onigiri Cafe Risaku offers freshly cooked and hand-formed onigiri and homemade side dishes.
The rice used is Koshihikari directly sourced from a contracted farm in Gunma Prefecture. By cooking small batches multiple times, the café ensures that the onigiri are always made with freshly cooked rice. The onigiri are perfectly seasoned with salt made from deep-sea water off the coast of Okinawa and wrapped in seaweed from Ariake. They offer about 30 varieties of onigiri, with fillings sourced from across Japan, including seafood, mentaiko from Fukuoka, and ume from Tanabe in Kishu.
The café offers various set menus during breakfast and lunch, each accompanied by miso soup or other soups. From 11 AM to 8 PM, the popular set includes a choice of side dishes, soup, and 3-4 types of homemade dishes. Customers are encouraged to pair their favorite onigiri with these sets. In addition to enjoying the meals in the cozy 18-seat café, all onigiri, side dishes, and soups are available for takeout.
