teamLab Borderless: MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM
Art like you’ve never felt it before at this museum without a map.
teamLab Borderless is the globally sought-after name synonymous with digital technology-driven, hyper-creative immersive art spaces, now available to see after relocating from Odaiba to Azabudai Hills on February 9, 2024.
True to its name "borderless," the artworks transcend the confines of rooms, drawing the people who visit to move about freely, interact with the art and blend seamlessly without boundaries in a completely new way to encounter art.
The new piece, "Bubble Universe: Physical Light, Bubbles of Light, Wobbling Light, and Environmental Light - One Stroke," fills the art space with countless spheres that snatch your breath away. Each sphere contains physical light inside, but there is also light that exists only in our cognitive world that look like bubbles, or giving the wobbly jelly-like look and feel of an intertangled world of bubbles. The light changes through the presence of people in the space, meaning the art itself shifts and shimmies in a moment of senses that’s uniquely fleeting.
