Akita Hinaiya Odate Main Store

Akita Hinaiya Odate Main Store is a specialty restaurant dedicated to Hinai jidori chicken from Akita Prefecture. It is directly operated by Akita Hinaiya, a food company that handles everything from raising and processing to selling Hinai jidori chicken. Akita Hinaiya was the first to use Hinai jidori chicken, previously used in kiritanpo nabe, for oyakodon and yakitori. The restaurant is known as the birthplace of Hinai jidori oyakodon and yakitori.

Signature dishes include Hinai Jidori Oyakodon, yakitori, and Akita’s famous kiritanpo nabe. The restaurant is well regarded for letting diners enjoy the rich flavor and firm texture of exceptionally fresh Hinai jidori chicken. At dinner, course meals such as the Kofuku Course and Manpuku Course are also available, including yakitori, creative small dishes made with Hinai jidori chicken, and a finishing dish of oyakodon or kiritanpo. The à la carte menu is also extensive, with options such as Hinai jidori steak and tataki.

The interior has a calm atmosphere with a wooden, Japanese-modern design. There are 80 seats in total, with 30 in the main hall and 50 on the second floor, including counter seats, tatami seating, and hori-kotatsu seating. With many historical and cultural attractions nearby, it is also easy to visit while sightseeing around Odate City.
