Asutamuland Tokushima
A large park where you can enjoy science and nature indoors and outdoors while having fun.
A large multi-purpose park in Tokushima set in lush green hills. In its vast grounds, developed around the concepts of water, greenery, and light, visitors can explore science and nature.
At the heart of the park is the “Children’s Science Museum,” themed around “the harmony between science, technology, and the natural environment” and filled with hands-on exhibits that visitors can touch and operate directly. It also offers experiment shows and guided tours, making it a place where visitors can deepen their interest in science while having fun. The adjacent planetarium uses a projector with world-class brightness. Capable of projecting Approx. 38,000 stars, its programs, which make you feel as if you are looking at the real night sky or outer space, are popular with both children and adults.
There are also many outdoor facilities, including a flower-covered hill and windmill area inspired by France’s ecomuseums, a lawn plaza, and large playground equipment. At the hands-on workshop, crafts and experiments are held every day. The Tokushima Wooden Toy Museum, unique to Tokushima where forests cover about three-quarters of the prefecture, opened in 2021. In a space filled with the scent of wood, visitors can enjoy carefully selected wooden toys from around the world and wooden athletic play equipment.
