Olive Bay Hotel

A resort hotel on Oshima Island in Saikai, Nagasaki Prefecture, Olive Bay Hotel is built around the concept of “a small yet luxurious hotel.” Located on a quiet inlet surrounded by deep blue sea and lush nature, it offers refined relaxation along with a gentle sea breeze.

The hotel was designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. In spaces that skillfully draw in natural light, ceramic reliefs, washi paper lighting, paintings, and sculptures are placed throughout, making the building itself feel like an art gallery. All 32 guest rooms feature ocean views, with the calm waters of Olive Bay and deep greenery stretching beyond the windows. Some rooms also feature view baths where you can soak while looking out at the sea.
