Yamashita Park, Yokohama's most iconic waterfront park, is full of exotic port-city charm and a relaxing atmosphere! As you stroll along the waterfront promenade, you can enjoy the pleasant sea breeze and beautiful views of Yokohama Port and the Yokohama Bay Bridge.
The park's most eye-catching landmark is the historic ocean liner Hikawa Maru, docked along the shore. Lit up at night, it has a calm, vintage charm. There's also the famous Guardian of Water fountain, which looks especially romantic and elegant when illuminated at night. With gardens that bloom throughout the seasons and spacious lawns, it's perfect for a leisurely stroll or a break, and is an ultimate must-see spot for experiencing a romantic evening in Yokohama!

If you’re in Yokohama, Yamashita Park is really worth a visit! It overlooks the vast Yokohama Harbor, and walking along the waterfront with the pleasant sea breeze while watching ships slowly pass by made me feel completely relaxed.
The park has a beautiful rose garden and fountains, as well as the cute “Girl with Red Shoes” statue and the Hikawa Maru docked offshore. It’s more than just a tourist attraction—you can also get a feel for Yokohama’s laid-back everyday life. You’ll often see locals picnicking or sunbathing on the grass, and sometimes there are even street performers.
After exploring nearby Chinatown, coming to Yamashita Park to enjoy the sea breeze is so relaxing!
