Besides shopping and enjoying good food in Osaka, I also highly recommend taking the Aqua Bus at least once to see this waterfront city from a different perspective. This ride is one of the free activities included with the Osaka Amazing Pass, and you can board by showing the QR code. After riding the Osaka Castle Gozabune boat, it's about a 15-minute walk to Osaka Castle Port, so it's very convenient! You can also choose to get off midway at Hachikenyahama Pier or ride all the way back to Osaka Castle Port.

The cruise takes about 55 minutes, offering views of Osaka's cityscape along the river and passing well-known sights such as Osaka Castle, Kyobashi, Temmabashi, Osaka City Central Public Hall, Yodoyabashi, Nakanoshima, Tenjinbashi, the Japan Mint, and Sakuranomiya Bridge.

Sitting on the boat with a gentle breeze and watching the buildings and riverfront scenery slowly drift by feels completely different from sightseeing on land.

After visiting Osaka Castle, I took a walk around the area and unexpectedly came across the Aqua-Liner boarding area.
Unfortunately, it seemed to be closed that day, so I could only look at the boarding area and the surrounding scenery from the shore and wasn't able to actually ride it. I hope that the next time I visit Osaka, I can set aside enough time to take the Aqua-Liner and enjoy views of Osaka Castle and the city from a different perspective.

We came to Temmabashi in Osaka to see the cherry blossoms and took a leisurely walk along the Okawa River. Cherry blossoms were in full bloom on both banks, with a sea of pink flowers reflected on the water, making the spring atmosphere especially enchanting. Along the way, we could also see the Aqua-Liner water bus slowly cruising past, moving between the cherry blossoms and the city scenery. With boats occasionally passing under the bridges, the view was quite poetic. The Temmabashi area is not only a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, but also a great place to experience Osaka’s atmosphere as a “city of water.” Taking a relaxed walk here was truly pleasant.

The boat has big windows that give you a wide view. You can see Osaka Castle, the City Hall, Nakanoshima Park, and other famous spots along the way.

Our travel agency scheduled the boat ride right after lunch, which wasn't a great idea. Many people in our group started dozing off less than 10 minutes after getting on the boat.

Osaka is famous for its waterways, with tons of bridges and rivers. Taking a sightseeing boat is a great way to explore the city.

The glass boat has comfy air conditioning in the summer, and it can adjust its height to pass under bridges. Pretty fun experience.

Taking the aqua bus is such a relaxing way to see Osaka.

I used the Osaka Amazing Pass, so the boat ride was free. The cabin was clean, and there were several stops along the way. You can choose to get off at spots closer to subway stations, stroll around, and just enjoy a slow-paced trip.

It gets pretty stuffy inside the boat during the day because the sun is so strong.
