Coming to Hoheikyo Dam in the fall is seriously beautiful. A whole spread of red leaves with the reservoir in the background—such a relaxing view.

Came in the fall for the foliage and the dam. The rainbow-like scenery was a huge plus.

You don’t have to walk very far to get great views, so it’s an easy, relaxed visit.

To get to the dam, you need to take a local electric bus. The scenery here during the autumn foliage season is absolutely stunning.
