I planned a trip on the Mt. Moiwa Ropeway while in Sapporo. As the cable car slowly made its way up the mountain, the scenery along the way became more and more expansive. As we climbed higher, downtown Sapporo gradually came into view, and the ride itself filled me with anticipation.

After arriving at the observation deck, I looked out over downtown Sapporo from above, with the entire cityscape spread out before me. At night, the lights came on one by one, and the view from the mountain was especially beautiful. I couldn't stop taking photos to remember it by.

From the outdoor observation deck at the mountaintop, the view is breathtaking and magnificent, with an unobstructed panorama.

However, the wind on the mountain is really cold, so be sure to bring a thick coat to stay warm. That way, you can fully enjoy the dazzling night view of Sapporo gradually lighting up before your eyes.

When I made it up to the observation deck, I was honestly blown away. The Sapporo night view is unreal—just a massive sea of lights.

For the Ainu people, Mt. Moiwa is considered a sacred and revered mountain.

I made it to one of Japan's new top three night views—definitely come to Mt. Moiwa for the amazing Sapporo night scenery. Highly recommended!
