I was really looking forward to taking the cable car up Mount Takao, but I didn’t expect it to be even more crowded than I had imagined! The line stretched a long way, and just seeing it was a bit shocking. You could really tell how popular the Mount Takao Cable Car is.
Although waiting in line takes some time, you can also feel everyone’s excitement about Mount Takao while standing in the line. It gets especially crowded on weekends and during peak tourist seasons, so if you want to take the cable car, I really recommend arriving earlier. It’ll be more comfortable if you avoid the busiest times.
When it was finally our turn to board, we enjoyed the mountain forest scenery along the way. As we slowly climbed higher, the view became more and more expansive. Riding the cable car itself is a distinctive part of the Mount Takao experience.
