This shopping district has a bit of a historic feel. Although the buildings and streets aren’t as trendy as those in Shinjuku or Ikebukuro, it’s still crowded and full of lively, everyday energy. Besides being known for anime, models, vintage clothing, and collectibles, there are also plenty of affordable and tasty snacks, such as takoyaki, taiyaki, ramen, and croquettes, which are great for eating as you walk around. Whenever I come here, I stop by OS Drug to stock up. They have a good selection of Japanese drugstore products and daily necessities, and the prices are often a pleasant surprise.

This highly nostalgic shopping center is packed with countless toy models, vintage anime merchandise, secondhand cards, and rare collectibles. The famous Mandarake stores, each with a different theme, are especially fun to browse! Beyond anime merchandise, there are also vintage clothing stores, nostalgic snacks, and an affordable basement food court. It's directly accessible from Nakano Station through the shopping street, making it a must-visit destination for exploring Japanese subculture and hunting for treasures!

I visited on a Saturday and it was super lively. Honestly, it’s just as busy as Shibuya’s main shopping street.

The restaurants here feel especially cheap and totally worth it! 🉐
