If you're visiting Yufuin in Kyushu, I highly recommend stopping by Yufuin Floral Village after exploring Lake Kinrin. The moment you enter this little village, you really feel as if you've suddenly been transported to the European countryside.
Both sides of the streets are lined with low stone and wooden buildings with moss-covered roofs, housing lots of fun gift shops and character merchandise. If you happen to visit in the fall, the walkways are decorated overhead with Halloween pumpkins and ghosts, creating a wonderfully festive atmosphere. Although the whole area isn't very large, it has lush green mountains as a backdrop, making every photo look like a scene from a picture book. It's a very relaxing and photogenic place where you can grab a snack while strolling around or find a favorite corner to take some nice photos.

Arriving in Yufuin feels like stepping into a fairy-tale world. From the moment you get off the train, it feels completely different and removed from the outside world. Everything here has a fairy-tale feel, and even the mirror where you get off the train looks cute. Walking into Yufuin Floral Village, it's filled with the creative style of Hayao Miyazaki. Spending a day here feels like having a dream and being inside a fairy-tale world.

The unique shops lining both sides of the street display all kinds of popular anime and picture-book merchandise, including beautifully made plush toys, bags, and keychains featuring classic Studio Ghibli characters from My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service. There’s also a dedicated Moomin shop selling a variety of cute bags, umbrellas, clothing, and accessories. Strolling and shopping through streets that feel like a fairytale world makes this an extremely popular photo and shopping spot that you definitely shouldn’t miss when visiting Yufuin!

Modeled after the famous traditional villages of England’s Cotswolds, it perfectly recreates the cream-colored stone cottages and lush greenery of the English countryside.

As soon as you reach the entrance, you’ll see adorable red squirrels and owls warmly welcoming visitors from around the world. Although the village is small and charming, as you wander through it, you’ll find one uniquely designed themed shop after another tucked away inside. Whether they sell Japanese-style goods, anime merchandise, or cute, comforting items, every shop is full of surprises, making you want to slow down and carefully explore this fairytale-like English street. It’s a little place for taking photos and enjoying a romantic atmosphere from another country.

When I arrived at Yufuin Floral Village, I was immediately drawn to the fairytale-like streetscape. It felt as though I had stepped into a dreamy little village in a storybook. The atmosphere along the streets is relaxed and comfortable, and it fits well with the charm of the Yufuin hot spring town. After visiting in person, I felt that it's not only fun to explore but also a great place to take memorable photos. It left me with a cute and unforgettable travel memory.

Yufuin Floral Village is located on Yunotsubo Street in Yufuin. It resembles a fairytale village from a magical story. Admission is free, and there is a wide variety of Sanrio and Harry Potter merchandise inside. There is also an owl café that charges an admission fee. It's a great place for anyone who enjoys taking photos and making beautiful memories.

This time I visited Yufuin Floral Village, and it really had a fairytale-like atmosphere. I saw so many delicate trinkets and souvenirs along the way that I couldn't stop taking pictures. It was very relaxing to stroll around leisurely and enjoy the scenery. It's an attraction in Yufuin that's well worth visiting.

Don't miss it if you're passing by. Not far down this street, we sat down to enjoy some delicious eel rice. The food came quickly, the place was clean, and it was great!
