A restaurant specializing in chicken cuisines whose name, “kashiwa”, comes from a word that means “chicken” in the Kansai dialect. The “chicken teppan-yaki”, which brings out the best flavors of carefully-selected chicken from around Japan, is to die for.

Lake Chuzenji
It has been said that the valley was dammed by lava from the eruption of Mt. Nantai about 20,000 years ago, and the original shape was created. Located at an altitude of 1,269 meters above sea level, it is at one of the highest heights in Japan.
Lake Chuzenji is Japan's highest lake. The cool autumn air and the red leaves on Mt. Nantai make for such a beautiful view!
Akechidaira Lookout / Akechidaira Ropeway[Temporarily Closed]
From this lookout, view both Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls flowing down from it. On the eastern side, gaze at a row of sheer cliffs rising from the rock, and let your eyes take in the distant mountain ranges.
After taking the ropeway up to the platform, the view is amazing. You can see Lake Chuzenji, Mount Nantai, and Kegon Falls. There are a lot of people riding the ropeway, so it's best to avoid weekends if you can.
Fujiko·F·Fujio Museum
This museum is located in Kawasaki, the city where Fujiko·F·Fujio, the manga artist who created series such as “Doraemon” and “Perman,” lived for many years.
Doraemon was my favorite manga as a kid! The museum is packed with Doraemon-themed exhibits, and I couldn't stop being amazed—it really felt like I was reliving my childhood.
