Onogame
Rising at the northern tip of Sado Island, Onogame is a massive 167-meter-tall monolith that seems to jut out toward the sea. Its majestic form is said to resemble a turtle crossing the ocean, and it is known as a spectacular scenic spot that earned two stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japon. In early summer, the area around the rock is colored by a vast colony of Approx. 500,000 Tobishima daylily plants, totaling 1 million blooms.
So impressive! From a distance, it looks like a giant turtle resting by the sea, which makes it really unique.
By the time you get to the viewpoint, the sea breeze feels great and the view is wide open. If you visit in spring or summer, you can also see the hills filled with golden flowers. The whole place feels dreamy, and the photos turn out beautiful.
