Kakuda Misaki Lighthouse (Hanganfuna Kakushi)

This lighthouse stands on Cape Kakuda overlooking the magnificent Sea of Japan. The observatory at the foot of the lighthouse offers a magnificent view of the horizon. A short climb up the mountain trail behind the lighthouse provides a beautiful contrast between the white lighthouse and the azure sea below, and beyond that, the view is spectacular as far as Sado Island.

Suwa Shrine (Tachikawa City, Tokyo)

Founded in 811 (Kōnin 2) with deities enshrined from Suwa Taisha in Nagano, Suwa Shrine in Tachikawa boasts over 1,200 years of history. Renowned as a sacred site for lion dances and sumo, it is affectionately known as Osuwasama. The enshrined deity, Takeminakata-no-Kami, appears in the Kojiki as a god of hunting and agriculture, and is believed to grant blessings for success in competitions and prosperous business.

Yakiago Shio Ramen Takahashi, Shinjuku Main Store

An elegant Japanese-style ramen restaurant. The soup combines a broth made from domestic pork bones and chicken carcass, with the main ingredient being "Yakiago" - flying fish dried and grilled. Multiple types of seafood broth are layered in the mix. For the salt seasoning, "Yakiago" prepared using Takahashi's unique method is used, combining broth extracted at two different temperatures with salt from Okinawa. The refined and delicious flavor of the premium ingredient "Yakiago" is a highlight.

Kegon Falls

Nikko is home to many waterfalls, but its most famous waterfall is Kegon Falls. Here the water from Lake Chuzenji spills down a 97-meter-tall cliff, showcasing a beautiful and powerful force of nature. From the observation platform, which you can reach down at the waterfall basin by elevator, you can experience the roar of the falls and the splashing water from up close.

Nikko Toshogu

Nikko Toshogu is a shrine dedicated to the Edo shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa. It is the most visited spot within the World Heritage Site “Shrines and Temples of Nikko,” and here you can see 55 exceptional buildings, including 8 that have been designated as national treasures and 34 that have been designated as Important Cultural Properties.
