Hakodate Kosetsuen (Miharashi Park)
Hakodate Kosetsuen is a garden in the Miharashi Park in Hakodate City. During the Meiji Period, It was built as a vacation home for a rich merchant based in Hakodate. The name Kosetsuen is said to have been given by a Jodo Sect priest of Kyoto’s Chion-in, meaning “the garden fragrant with plum in snow.”
There are a bit more visitors on holidays, but it's not too crowded. You can still stroll around and relax.
gashacoco Ikebukuro
Just about a 2-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, “gashacoco Ikebukuro” is a specialty shop dedicated to capsule toys. With a sales floor of about 150 tsubo (about 495 m²), it boasts around 1,500 capsule toy vending machines. The lineup spans a wide range of genres, including anime characters, Heisei retro, and food motifs.
The retro capsule toys are really detailed, and the chopsticks are beautiful! Super happy~ 😄
Hida Takayama Old Townscape
Hida Takayama Old Townscape is said to be a town where the original landscape of Japan remains, as the streets from the Edo period still remain, and the charming town houses and noren (curtains) of old stores continue to be seen.
It's not just a tourist spot—the old streets here really feel alive and full of warmth.
