Meiji-no-Yakata
This western stone building was built during the Meiji period and is located near the World Heritage Site Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The building was originally built as a villa for the American merchant-trader F.W. Horn, who introduced the first phonograph to Japan. The building has been registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.
I really love the vibe of this historic building. The omelet rice inside was delicious. After eating, it’s nice to stroll around the area and take in the sights.
