Shirakawa-go Light-up Event
Located in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed gassho-zukuri village of Shirakawa-go, this event, held on specific days in January and February, draws large crowds annually. The sight of the iconic, thatched triangular roofs of the gassho-style houses blanketed in snow, illuminated against the night, evokes a fairy-tale-like look and feel.
On winter nights, the snow-covered thatched roofs look just like a dreamy fairy tale world. The atmosphere is amazing!
Maruchan Green Tanuki Tempura Soba
This cup-style instant soba can be enjoyed just by pouring boiling water and waiting for 3 minutes. Topped with aromatic small shrimp tempura, it's a very popular product.
I happened to pick this up at a convenience store, and it turned out to be pretty tasty! The noodles are super chewy!
Ippoh Main Store
Ippoh is one of Osaka's best-established restaurants, located in Edobori, Nishi-ku, and has its roots in a tempura restaurant founded in 1850 (Kaei 3 ) by the first generation of an oil shop owner as a sideline.It has a history of more than 180 years spanning five generations. Throughout its long history, the restaurant has entertained VIPs from around the world as well as dignitaries from home and abroad.
The ingredients are really top-notch, and the service is excellent. Definitely worth dining here!
Nyuto Onsenkyo
Nyuto-Onsenkyo refers to all hot springs at the foot of Mt. Nyuto in Towada-Hachimantai National Park. Namely, Tsurunoyu, Tae no yu, Kuroyu, Ganiba, Magoroku, Okama, and National Park Resort Village Nyuto-Onsenkyo. The seven onsen lodgings nestled in the beech primeval forest are touted by many fans as hidden treasures with natural beauty, quaint inns, and quality opaque water.
Surrounded by untouched mountains and forests, this is truly a hidden hot spring spot. The experience was amazing!
Awaji Hanasajiki Hyogo Prefectural Park
Awaji Hanasajiki is a 15-hectare park located in the northern hills of Hyogo Prefecture’s Awaji Island. Here you can look over gorgeous fields of rape blossoms, poppies, cleome, cosmos, stock, and more throughout the year.
If you have enough time, it's great to enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the view, and maybe pick up some local specialties too!
Jingisukan Daruma Main branch
"Jingisukan Daruma Honten" opened in 1954. Jingisukan is a phonetic spelling of Genghis Khan, and Daruma's Jingisukan has also come to be known as Susukino's specialty. The restaurant is open daily with the goal of remaining unchanged for those who come to enjoy the taste of this long-established restaurant.

Allpress Espresso Tokyo Roastery & Cafe
Here is a roastery cafe in a peaceful residential area in Seito Shirakawa. Allpress Espresso is a New Zealand company that roast coffee beans. Tokyo Roastery & Cafe hosts their Japanese Headquarters office, roastery and cafe.
I really love these kinds of roastery cafes. Having an espresso in such a unique spot just gives off a special vibe!
Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse
The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse features 4 warehouses and is a landmark of the Hakodate Bay Area. It is a romantic, and scenic spot featuring an array of red brick warehouses. It is popular among locals, tourists, and couples.
Spent the whole day here and time just flew by!
Wadakura Fountain Park
This park with a fountain at its center was constructed to commemorate the marriage of His Majesty the Emperor in 1961. The artistic water fountain has a waterfall 5.5 meters high and 30 meters in width, and it is used by many people as a city oasis. You can enjoy a beautiful and romantic sight when the fountain lights up at night.
Grabbed a Starbucks and enjoyed the beautiful view while sipping my coffee. So relaxing!
Tokyo Station Gallery
Desiring to transform Tokyo Station, which is the starting and ending point for Japan's railways, from just a transit point to a hub of culture, the Tokyo Station Gallery was born within the Marunouchi station building in 1988. Following renovations of the station in 2006, the gallery was temporarily closed.
It's awesome to have art exhibitions right inside Tokyo Station! There are so many themes, from modern art to architecture, design, and even railways. Really impressive!
