Future City Favore

One of the largest shopping malls in the Hokuriku region, located in Fuchumachi, Toyama City. With an Approx. 69,000 sq m commercial floor area, it features a main building, a separate building, and a new wing created during a major renovation in 2019, with around 170 stores in total.

This place feels kind of like a large mixed-use shopping mall. There are tons of stores, and it’s really comfortable to walk around.
You can pretty much take care of everything in one trip—food, clothes, and everyday essentials.
The space is huge, so it doesn’t feel cramped like some city malls in Japan, and it’s easy to get here by car.
It’s not exactly a major tourist attraction, but if you’re nearby and want to cool off, relax, and do a little shopping, it’s actually a great place to wander around slowly. It also seemed pretty popular with locals.

Basho-an (Creative Wagashi Workshop)

Located in Takimi Koji, a retro-themed street that recreates the atmosphere of old Japan, this traditional Japanese sweets shop has been beloved for generations. Since its founding in 1868, Basho-an has continued to preserve its time-honored production methods.

The warabi mochi is bouncy and rich, and the roasted soybean flour grinding experience is fun.
The flavor is consistently good, but it’s more about the vibe.
Great for photos and a little break. A bit pricey, but worth trying once!

Hakusan Ichirino Ski Resort

Located near the Ishikawa-side entrance of the Hakusan Shirakami-go White Road, at the foot of the sacred Mt. Hakusan, this is the largest ski resort in Ishikawa Prefecture. The resort offers a wide range of courses for all skill levels, including three steep, ungroomed runs for advanced skiers, several intermediate courses such as the Nodaira slope, and gentle beginner slopes. The kids’ park, packed with fun play equipment, is especially popular for sledding and other activities. Night skiing is also available, allowing families to enjoy skiing together from morning until evening.

Overall it feels really laid-back, not one of those huge, crowded ski resorts.
It’s great if you just want to take it easy and don’t like a lot of noise.
The courses are wide and the slopes are pretty gentle, so beginners or anyone who wants to practice slowly can ski here and feel quite at ease.

Niginohama Beach

Niginohama Beach connects Keya no Oto, the largest basalt sea cave in Japan and one of Itoshima’s most iconic scenic spots, with Nokita Beach. Its sandy shore and pine grove stretch for Approx. 6 km, creating a dramatic coastline that has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Shores. The sweeping bow-shaped beach with white waves rolling in is a spectacular sight. In summer, the sunset sinking into the Genkai Sea is also beautiful, and many visitors park at one of several parking areas and enjoy a stroll.

It’s a very natural, quiet beach with hardly any tourist facilities, and there usually aren’t many people.

The sand is mixed with small rocks, so it can feel a little rough underfoot, but the water is very clear, and it’s really relaxing to just watch the waves.

The view is quite beautiful on a nice day, and the sunset is lovely too. It’s a good fit for anyone who wants to get away from the crowds and simply stare at the ocean for a while. This is definitely not a busy, lively beach.

EIGHT RIBBON

Japan’s largest Tirol ribbon factory, equipped with traditional shuttle looms. Founded in 1961 by eight ribbon manufacturers in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture-long known for its thriving textile industry and nicknamed the “textile town.” Often said to be the last factory in Japan capable of mass-producing Tirol ribbon, it offers factory tours and workshops to share its history and craftsmanship with the public.

Overall, this place feels really polished and stylish.
Everything is clean and bright, and there are lots of little design touches—you can tell they put a lot of thought into it.

Whether it’s desserts or drinks, the plating looks great and it’s super photogenic! The flavors aren’t overly sweet, so everything goes down easy.

If you’re looking for a spot to chat, go on a date, or have afternoon tea, this is a really nice fit. The vibe is just right.

Arimura Lava Observatory

This observatory sits famously atop a small hill formed by lava flows during the massive 1946 Sakurajima eruption. The site is perched along a 1 km walking trail developed over the lava field, bringing visitors today to the full drama of Minamidake, close-up looks of Minamidake, the active southern crater, plus Kinko Bay.

The scenery here is wide open and perfect for photos. On a clear day, the views are amazing—you can see both the sea and the mountains together. You can really feel the power of nature here, and there's a special atmosphere. Highly recommend coming by car—parking is easy, and after a short walk, you get to see some truly beautiful sights.

Shoryakuji Temple

A temple nestled in the mountains of Nara City, as if resting beside the clear flow of the Bodaisen River. Founded in 992 during the Heian period by imperial order of Emperor Ichijo, it is the head temple of the Bodaisan Shingon sect and was once a magnificent temple complex lined with as many as 86 sub-temples. Today, structures such as the main hall, bell tower, and the guest hall of Fukujyuin remain, while moss-covered stone walls and the murmuring mountain stream preserve the atmosphere of its former days.

It’s tucked away in the mountains, with a quiet, serene setting and trees surrounding the temple, so just walking around feels really relaxing.

The temple isn’t very large, but the atmosphere is solemn and peaceful, with a sense of being far away from the noise of everyday life.

If you visit in the fall, the autumn leaves make the whole scenery absolutely beautiful. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a slow walk and a calm, reflective moment.

Located along Karuizawa Hondori, the main street stretching directly from Karuizawa Station, Quartet Brewing is a taproom directly connected to its own craft brewery. The name "Quartet Brewing" represents the perfect harmony among the four main beer ingredients: malt, hops, yeast, and water, reflecting the brewer’s aspiration to create truly delicious beers.

The vibe here is super chill 🍺✨ Tons of beer choices, all with unique flavors and really tasty. You can tell they put a lot of care into brewing. The atmosphere is relaxed—perfect for grabbing drinks and chatting with friends. If you're into craft beer, you have to check this place out!

Hiroshima Orizuru Tower

A complex of buildings adjacent to the Atomic Bomb Dome, this is a landmark tower in Hiroshima where visitors can enjoy scenery and experiences that can only be found here. As a sightseeing area, the Souvenir select (product hall) and café on the first floor, the "Orizuru Square" and "Orizuru Wall" on the 12th floor, and the "Hiroshima Hills" observatory deck on the roof are open to the public.

There's a whole wall covered with paper cranes folded by visitors. Seeing it in person is actually pretty moving—it feels like wishes from all over the world have gathered here. It's quiet and solemn. If you're visiting the Peace Memorial Park, you should definitely check this out too.

The views from the upper floors are fantastic! Super convenient location, and there are plenty of shops around the hotel to explore.
