When visiting Senagajima Island, besides enjoying the ocean and watching planes take off and land, you can't miss having a scoop of gelato! This time I went to yukuRu and enjoyed authentic Italian gelato with an ocean view. The whole atmosphere was super relaxing〜

I ordered the “Premium Milk” and “Okinawa Berry” flavors.

The Premium Milk was rich and creamy, with a strong milky flavor. It was delicious! The Okinawa Berry flavor was quite intense, which was a little too much for me. After finishing it, I kind of regretted not choosing a more refreshing flavor.

Sitting on the oceanfront terrace, enjoying fluffy pancakes while taking in the Okinawan ocean view, the whole atmosphere really felt like a vacation. The pancakes were very soft, light, and fluffy, with a lovely aroma. They were so delicious that I couldn't stop eating one bite after another.

Feeling the ocean breeze, looking at the sea, and enjoying a plate of hot pancakes while leisurely taking in this part of the trip made me feel truly happy.

When visiting Senagajima Island, I definitely recommend setting aside some time to watch the sunset! In the evening, the sunset casts a golden glow over the water, and together with the expansive ocean view, the whole atmosphere is really romantic. The beautiful scenery makes you want to stay a little longer.

Senagajima Island isn't very big, and it takes about half an hour to walk around it at a leisurely pace. It's also a place airplane enthusiasts shouldn't miss. You can enjoy the ocean while watching planes take off and land, and sometimes you can even catch one flying right in front of you.

If you're planning an independent trip to Okinawa, Senagajima Island is great for a half-day itinerary. Besides taking a walk and watching the sunset, you can explore “Little Greece,” take photos, and then find an ocean-view restaurant for a meal. Sit back, enjoy the ocean breeze, and slowly watch the sunset.

Senaga Island is perfect for slowing down. It doesn't have many large entertainment facilities, but its ocean views and resort atmosphere are easy to fall in love with.

This time, I specifically chose to come on a weekday morning and was surprised to find far fewer people than I expected. I strolled slowly along the shore, enjoying the sea breeze and the deep blue ocean. The whole pace felt comfortable and relaxing. There were no crowds, and I didn't have to look for special angles to avoid people. I could stop and take photos whenever I wanted. It's really a great place to just unwind.

What attracted me most was watching the planes take off and land! Since it's very close to Naha Airport, you can see planes flying low over the water or slowly coming in to land. The blue sky and ocean, with planes passing by, feel so quintessentially Okinawan and are really impressive.

The most unique thing here is that all the seats are hammocks. You can lie back comfortably while enjoying the Okinawa ocean view right in front of you, instantly putting you in relaxation mode. The hammocks aren't just nice to look at—they're also incredibly comfortable. With the sea breeze and the blue ocean, you really won't want to leave. It feels like you could stay all day without a problem.

The number one must-order is the mango dragon fruit juice. Not only does it taste good, but the colors are dreamy and it looks great in photos! The churros are sweet and delicious, and the savory food doesn't disappoint either. It was surprisingly good.

If you're visiting Senaga Island, besides seeing the ocean, this place is definitely worth setting aside some time to sit down and enjoy!

Located next to Omoromachi Station, T Galleria Okinawa by DFS is one of the few places in Japan where even domestic travelers can enjoy duty-free shopping! There are quite a few duty-free luxury, beauty, and fragrance brands, with a good selection of products. The layout is also easy to navigate, so it doesn't feel crowded or confusing.

There's also an OTS car rental and return location here, making it very convenient if you're planning a self-driving trip around Okinawa. You can stop by and shop while you're here.

But here's the thing... duty-free stores are really dangerous!

As you keep browsing, your wallet quietly starts getting lighter, so be sure to remind yourself before you come: You need deep pockets and strong willpower!

A very distinctive natural attraction in northern Okinawa, Asmui Hikes is steeped in Ryukyu mythology and is also designated as a national park. After buying a ticket, a shuttle bus takes you to the trailhead in about 5 minutes, where you can explore along the forest trail.

Along the way, you'll see unusual rock formations sculpted by nature everywhere, along with dense vegetation, small insects, and oddly shaped trees that look as if they could walk. Every stretch brings a different surprise. The trail never gets too boring, and there are also paths leading to higher ground with views of the surrounding mountains and forests.

Admission is about JPY 2,500, and the service is very thoughtful. After completing the trail, you can enjoy unlimited cold drinks in the lounge. While waiting for the shuttle bus, you can also visit the free stone exhibition hall, and there is even a shoe-washing area at the visitor center entrance.

Kanucha Resort is located on the eastern side of Okinawa Island. It's a little remote, but that's exactly why you can enjoy a relaxing time away from the noise of the city. The hotel is surrounded by the ocean and forest, with expansive natural scenery right outside the windows. The whole resort atmosphere is truly relaxing.

The room was extremely spacious and really felt like a vacation retreat, without feeling cramped at all. What impressed me most this time was the Japanese breakfast, especially the rice, which was actually cooked over a wood fire by a staff member. It had a light aroma and a pleasantly chewy, layered texture. It really couldn't compare to rice cooked in an ordinary rice cooker!

If you enjoy hotel amenities, natural scenery, and slow-paced vacations, it's really worth staying here for a few nights to completely unwind.

This time we visited Neo Park Okinawa in Nago. The park is themed around a tropical natural environment, and walking through it feels like being out in nature. The overall atmosphere is very relaxed, making it a great place for families with children to stroll around together.

We happened to visit during the 33rd anniversary celebration, which added quite a few special activities and a lively atmosphere. The park isn't very large. At a leisurely pace, you can see everything in about two hours without getting too tired, while enjoying the various plants and animals along the way.

There was also an exciting bird show at the end with lots of interaction, making it perfect for kids! If you have a more relaxed itinerary, this place is well worth adding to a family trip to Okinawa〜

A trip to Okinawa is all about enjoying a relaxing vacation! The hotel we stayed at this time was really great. My favorite part was the beautiful ocean view from our room. Waking up in the morning, opening the curtains, and seeing the deep blue ocean instantly put me in a great mood.

The whole hotel has a relaxing resort atmosphere. There's no need to plan anything special—just unwinding at the hotel and looking at the ocean is incredibly enjoyable.
