Lake Tazawa
Lake Tazawa is the deepest lake in Japan at 423.4m deep. The lake, with its breathtakingly beautiful cobalt blue surface, is a scenic spot in Akita Prefecture, selected as one of the 100 most scenic spots in Japan. In 2022, the moon rising over Lake Tazawa will be recognized as one of Japan's 100 Most Beautiful Moons, adding even more charm to the lake.
Walking around the lake is really relaxing. It's perfect for a slow stroll, and the color of the lake looks different from every angle.

Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale
In the green, lush countryside of Echigo-Tsumari, Niigata prefecture is a modern art exhibit held throughout the year. The “Art Triennial” held every 3 years features permanent exhibits as well as new pieces, alongside various performances and workshops.
Putting art in rice fields, abandoned schools, and the mountains is honestly pretty impressive. The scenery is already beautiful, and the art just makes it even better.

FUJIMI CAFE
This moment of food bliss awaits at Otome Pass, one of the "Fujimi Three Passes" renowned for its stunning views of Mount Fuji, along with Satta Pass in Shizuoka City and Misaka Pass in Yamanashi Prefecture. Here at FUJIMI CAFE you’re in for unforgettable views of Mt. Fuji from both indoor and wooden deck seating, plus a curated menu that fully celebrates the local crop.
The coffee isn't exactly cheap, but with that amazing view of Mt. Fuji, I think it's totally worth it.
