Spring is the perfect time to visit. The weather is nice and cool, and the whole town is filled with Hinamatsuri vibes. The atmosphere really feels so Japanese.

Universal Studios Japan
Universal Studios Japan, nicknamed “USJ”, is a large-scale theme park with entertainment for everyone, both children and adults alike. The park is separated into different areas, each with a different theme from popular titles across the world.
It kind of feels like you’re stuck here! You can only eat at the restaurants inside the park, and the food is pricey with not much variety.

Watarase Keikoku Railway (Watetsu)
Well known by its nickname Watetsu, the Watarase Keikoku Railway is a local line that runs for about an hour and a half through Kiryu Station (in Kiryu) and Mato Station (in Nikko). It has gained popularity as a sightseeing train that allows you to enjoy the beauty of the gorge that runs along the Watarase River.
I rode the sightseeing train with open windows and enjoyed the countryside views along the way. They also sell souvenirs like keychains and candy inside the train.

Otsuka Museum of Art
The museum houses more than 1000 works, ranging from antiquity to the 20th century and collected from over 190 museums in 26 countries. The full-size faithful replicas were created using a special technology on ceramic plates. The paintings are reproduced onto ceramic plates which, the museum claims, will preserve their colors and shapes for as long as 2000 years. The museum particularly wishes, with its unique methods, to contribute to the recording and perseveration of the world’s valuable cultural heritage.
The artworks are fired onto ceramic tiles, so they're not affected by humidity or light, and you can take photos freely. Even though they're all replicas, it's amazing to see masterpieces from around the world in one visit. Art lovers definitely shouldn't miss this place!
