KIRIN Afternoon Tea has a natural tea aroma and a refreshing taste. The original, milk tea, and lemon tea flavors each have their own distinctive qualities. The original black tea is fresh and smooth, while the lemon tea has a slightly tart, fruity aroma. My favorite is the milk tea, which is rich and smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sweet. It goes down even more smoothly when chilled and is especially refreshing in hot weather.

Omicho Market
This is Kanazawa’s kitchen, which has been known as “Omicho” for about 300 years. It is always busy and vibrant, with approximately 170 stores selling fresh seasonal seafood, vegetables, prepared foods, souvenirs, and other items lined up in a narrow arcade.
Omicho Market is a must when visiting Kanazawa! As soon as I entered the market, I was drawn in by all the fresh seafood. There were crabs, oysters, sweet shrimp, tuna—you could see it all, and the entire market was incredibly lively. What I was looking forward to most was a bowl of seafood rice topped with a generous amount of seafood, with a fresh taste in every bite. Eating as you walk around and shopping for souvenirs really gives you the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese market. If you don't know what to eat in Kanazawa, just head straight to Omicho Market!

Itohkyuemon Uji Main Store Tea Room
Itohkyuemon, a long-established tea shop founded in 1832 (Tenpo 3), is located in Uji, one of Japan's leading producers of high-quality tea leaves. While preserving the traditions passed down since its founding, the shop continuously develops new matcha sweets, introducing new values of tea to the world.
When in Uji, Kyoto, of course you can’t miss the famous matcha shop Itohkyuemon! The shop is filled with the aroma of matcha, and everything from desserts and ice cream to all kinds of souvenirs makes it hard to choose. My favorites were the rich matcha desserts that weren’t too sweet. They had a light tea aroma at first, followed by a lingering sweetness afterward. Having a matcha dessert here after visiting Uji’s sights really gives you that Kyoto travel feeling. Anyone who loves matcha should definitely make the pilgrimage!

Himuro Shrine (Nara Prefecture, Tenri City)
Located in Fukuzumi-cho, Tenri City, a place known as the origin of ice storage in Japan, the site boasts over 20 historical ice storage (Himuro) sites. Deeply connected to the Imperial family, the shrine, believed to have been established around 414 AD, is considered the head shrine of all Himuro Shrines across the country.
Himuro Shrine in Tenri City, Nara, has a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere than bustling tourist attractions. Once inside the shrine, you can feel its strong, traditional Japanese charm, and the surrounding greenery is very pleasant. Walking slowly along the approach and looking at the shrine buildings, there isn't much noise, which adds to the sense of tranquility. Besides seeing the deer and visiting temples on this trip to Nara, coming here to experience the atmosphere of a local shrine was also a very special memory.
