Minato Mirai 21
JR Sakuragicho Station, Japan’s first train station, is the gate to Minato Mirai. Coming out of the station, you will see a futuristic cityscape such as the 296m-tall Yokohama Landmark Tower and the ferris wheel Cosmo Clock 21. In 2021, the urban 630m-long ropeway, YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN, was opened, connecting the former railway and the Unga-Park Station.
Minato Mirai 21 is Yokohama's most iconic modern urban district. Developed along the harbor, its skyscrapers and ocean views come together to create a romantic and vibrant cityscape. From the Red Brick Warehouse and Yokohama Landmark Tower to Osanbashi Pier, there are different views to enjoy along the way. It's a great place to stroll and admire the harbor during the day, while at night you can enjoy the dazzling city lights. It's a spot you shouldn't miss when visiting Yokohama.

Lumine Ikebukuro
Lumine Ikebukuro is a fashion hub loved by Japan’s young crowd, frequented thanks to direct access to Ikebukuro Station that you can use even on rainy days. Spanning from the basement first floor up to the 10th floor, expect anything and everything from fashion, cosmetics, and interior decor items to restaurants, cafes, and even a movie theater.
Lumine Ikebukuro is also a place many tourists stop by while shopping in Ikebukuro. Inside, there are plenty of trendy Japanese fashion, beauty, variety, and lifestyle brands, so anyone who enjoys shopping can take their time hunting for finds. There's also a HARBS location here. Its signature fruit mille crepe is packed with fruit, with layers of cake and fresh whipped cream that look tempting enough on their own! So when you're shopping in Ikebukuro, consider adding Lumine to your itinerary—you can shop and enjoy dessert all in one place.

MARK IS Minatomirai
Located in the popular Minato Mirai district of Yokohama, MARK IS Minatomirai is a large-scale commercial complex that spans from four basement levels to six above-ground floors. It houses around 175 stores, including fashion boutiques, lifestyle shops, food markets, and restaurants.
I remember visiting Orbi Yokohama on the 5th floor before to see the small animals. What left the strongest impression on me were the adorable meerkats. They were tiny and agile, and their round little appearance made it hard to stop staring at them. Through interactive exhibits, the facility allowed visitors to observe how different animals lived up close. Unfortunately, Orbi Yokohama has already closed. What a shame.
