The Fujiko F. Fujio Museum in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, is a dream destination for anime fans. As you enter the lush outdoor area, you’re greeted by a hugely popular character from the classic movie “Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur”—the giant Futabasaurus, Pisuke! Nobita and Doraemon are happily riding on Pisuke’s back, surrounded by drifting mist that makes it feel as if you’ve stepped straight into the movie’s classic, touching adventure. The museum not only displays a large collection of precious original manga manuscripts, but also features all kinds of photo spots recreating items from the anime and themed restaurant dishes. Advance reservations are required to maintain the quality of the visitor experience. It’s an extremely popular attraction that brings back wonderful childhood memories and is perfect for the whole family during an independent trip to Tokyo and Kanagawa!
