There are fish and wild birds by the pond. Some people relax and fish by the water. The big windmill is a clear landmark here.

Fukuyama City Zoo
Fukuyama City Zoo, located in Hiroshima Prefecture’s Fukuyama City, sits right beside the scenic Tomiya Pond. Admission is affordable-free for junior high school students and younger, and just 520 yen for visitors aged 15 and up-making it an easy place to visit.
Super cute and really affordable! The ticket price is super cheap, and there are quite a few animals like giraffes, lions, flamingos, and monkeys. Kids will absolutely love it. The zoo isn't very big, but it's easy to walk around and not tiring at all. Everything is kept really clean. You can get pretty close to the animals, so it's fun to take your time and snap photos. Overall, it's a warm and relaxing place—perfect for families or couples to stroll around and enjoy a date!

The island has a circumference of Approx. 60 km, and you can drive around it in about 1.5 hours or cycle all the way around it.
I had the local sea urchin rice bowl, and it was insanely fresh. It practically melted in my mouth.
