You can spot Namahage everywhere on the Oga Peninsula in Akita. During dinner at the hotel, they came out and asked us for sake. Some kids in our group ended up bursting into tears!

Mizusawa Udon Kaido
The prefectural highway, Route 15 connects Ikaho Onsen and Maebashi City. Near the Ikaho Onsen, Mizusawa Temple stands in front of the approach called Mizusawa Udon Kaido, a gourmet street.
The texture of this udon is seriously impressive—chewy and satisfying! The sesame dipping sauce makes it even more addictive. No wonder it's so popular.

Kusatsu Onsen
Kusatsu Onsen is renowned as one of Japan's three most celebrated hot spring resorts. It boasts Japan's highest natural hot spring water output of over 32,300 liters per minute and is also known for its highly acidic waters and strong antibacterial properties.
Besides soaking in the hot springs, you can also explore some old buildings and temples nearby to learn about the local culture and way of life. The local cuisine, especially dishes cooked with hot spring water, has a unique flavor worth trying.
