Every time I come to Japan, I love buying handkerchiefs. Even though tissues and wet wipes are convenient these days, for someone like me (and my family) who has sweaty hands, a handkerchief is super important. Also, it just feels nice to carry one! It's always fun to find good cotton handkerchiefs with cute designs. For kids, this brand is perfect, so I picked one up right away!

Nikka Whisky Miyagikyo Distillery
This is one of Nikka Whisky’s distilleries along with the Yoichi factory in Hokkaido. It is located in the mountains near the border of Yamagata Prefecture between Nikkawa and Hirose Rivers, built by Japan’s Father of Whiskies, Masataka Taketsuru in 1969 as the second distillery after the Yoichi factory. The whisky has a jubilant pear scent.
I watched a Japanese drama about Masataka Taketsuru, the Father of Japanese Whisky, going to Scotland—not only did he learn how to make whisky, but he also met his wife Rita. Knowing this story made visiting the distillery so much more interesting!

"Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae" is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from JR Sendai Station. There are facilities that will please not only businessmen but also tourists, such as free Wi-Fi connection, air purifiers with humidifying function in all rooms, and mobile phone chargers for various models.
Very satisfied! It's super close to Sendai Station, and the pillows and bed in the room are really comfortable. The location is so convenient—it's awesome to be able to get back to the hotel so quickly after transferring trains!

The whole hotel feels really comfortable, with a beautiful and quiet environment. The food is great too. Plus, the hotel offers a shuttle service, and you can take their bus to Sendai Station when you check out!
