Mizuki Shigeru Museum
Mizuki Shigeru wrote one of the most famous manga comics, GeGeGe no Kitaro. His memorial museum is located in Sakaiminato City, his hometown. A 14-minute walk from JR Sakaiminato Station along "Mizuki Shigeru Road" will take you to the museum.
I wasn't familiar with GeGeGe no Kitaro before, but visiting here helped me learn its background. I also found out that Shigeru Mizuki took part in the war and loved adventure, traveling to many countries to collect unique stories and customs. No wonder the Kitaro yokai stories are so vivid and fascinating!

You get amazing views of the coastline and sunset here. That's the best part of Kaike Onsen Kasuitei! Whether you're in the spacious open-air bath or relaxing in your Japanese-style room, you can take in all the beautiful scenery.
