1. Kankakei Gorge

This popular destination is known for its sheer, craggy gorge and sprawling ropeway.
All year round visitors here will find a breathtaking view of mountain, sea and sky.
There’s even a path for those who’d rather hike to the top.

2. Angel Road (Footpath of the Angels)

This narrow sandbar appears only twice a day at low tide.
It’s considered a lover’s paradise, said to grant the wish of any two who hold hands and walk across it.
Once at Bentenjima on the other side, you can climb up to the Yakusoku no Oka (Hill of Promise) lookout point and ring the bell together, with Angel Road at your backs.

3. Flower Park Urashima

The sprawling grounds at this city-run flower park offer a different wash of sprawling, colorful flowers each season.
From mid-April to late-May the grounds come into full bloom with Paris Daisies, filled from end to end with white blooms. Many visitors gather during the flower picking events.

4. Ritsurin Garden

This is the large, famed garden is also designated as a Special Scenic Spot.
As you look across the garden it will almost seem to melt into Mt. Shiun looming behind it, making for a fascinating landscape and treat for the eyes.
This garden was awarded 3 stars, the highest rank in the Michelin Green Guide Japan.

5. Chichibugahama

This beach is selected as one of 100 best sunsets across Japan, known for casting a mystic hue as it sinks behind the horizon. Its popular for snapping a photo that bears uncanny resemblance to the salt flats at Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.
This long and shallow beach is especially popular in the day for families with children.
