A Lavish Lunch at Famous Ginza Sukiyaki Restaurant “Kakiyasu”
Today I’ve been excited since I got up. Why, you ask? Because I’ve decided to get sukiyaki for lunch!
Kakiyasu is a restaurant famous for its sukiyaki, but I highly recommend it for lunch since it’s priced so reasonably!
Kakiyasu is located on the 7th floor of a Ginza building called GINZA gCUBE.
They also offer private rooms, so it’s perfect for group meetings.
I was greeted with a welcoming drink after being seated!
The drink was carrot juice. Yum!
Special Selection – Kuroge Wagyu Sirloin Sukiyaki 2,808 yen (tax incl.)
The set came with sukiyaki, egg, rice, miso soup, pickles, and dessert.
You can request extra servings of the rice.
This sort of set costs around 10,000 yen in the evening, so it’s quite a great deal!
※Additional service fee 10%
The Kuroge wagyu sirloin looked delicious.
The other ingredients like the eggs and vegetables were as carefully selected as the meat.
Their rice is hulled and cleaned in-store every day.
The meat was so good after dipping it in the egg!
The Kuroge wagyu was so tender it felt like it’d just melt away in my mouth.
Both the vegetables and the tofu were gently simmered; exquisite!
(Incidentally, Japanese eggs are safe to eat raw thanks to sanitation controls)
The after-meal dessert was a grapefruit sorbet.
Since I had a window seat, I got to enjoy the view of Ginza-Dori.
This meal was just as great as I had hoped! The restaurant’s staff were polite and kind, so this would be the perfect place to go for special occasions!
I was all warmed up after eating despite having come in from the chilly wind~!
