Day 2 of Winter Travel in Nikko ~Mt. Nikko Rinno-ji and Nikko Toshogu Shrine~
This article will introduce day 2 of my winter trip to Nikko. Starting off with breakfast at my hotel, I also visited Mt. Nikko Rinno-ji and Nikko Toshogu Shrine.

A Shrine Known for its God of Luck and Blessings for Marriage.
Nikko Futarasan Shrine enshrines and worships Nikko Sanzan, the three sacred peaks that are the highest in the Nikko mountain range. It is also known as a shrine for a kami (god) of luck, as well as providing blessings for marriage.
The entrance to Sannai area is marked by “Shinkyo,” a beautiful red-painted wooden bridge, and the bridge is part of the shrine’s property. The bridge is also considered the entrance to the World Heritage Site “The Shrines and Temples of Nikko.” Other nearby sights include Chugushi along the shore of Lake Chuzenji and Okumiya at the summit of Mt. Nantai. These are part of the World Heritage Site “The Shrines and Temples of Nikko.”
