Dining Jyugoya

This restaurant is located in the observation lounge on the 15th floor of the Tochigi Prefectural Government Office. Based on the concept of local production for local consumption, its Japanese-style menu makes generous use of ingredients and specialties from Tochigi Prefecture.

The glass-walled dining room on the top floor, 213 feet above ground, offers panoramic views of downtown Utsunomiya. On clear days, you can see the Nikko mountain range, Mount Fuji, and Mount Tsukuba. Enjoy a relaxing meal with bright, expansive views at lunchtime or a sparkling cityscape at night.

A popular dinner option is the Jyugoya Kaiseki, which must be reserved by the previous day. Made with carefully selected local ingredients such as Nasu Kogen pork and vegetables from Tochigi Prefecture, these colorful dishes bring out the ingredients’ natural flavors and are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate. Although à la carte dishes are not available at dinner, set meals can be ordered without a reservation. Lunch options include set meals such as the Seasonal Jyugoya Kaiseki Set and casual rice bowls such as the Seasonal Tempura Rice Bowl.
