Kirasse is the popular, one-stop-shop in Utsunomiya, the gyoza mecca of Japan, with so much for gyoza-lovers to enjoy that it almost feels like an Utsunomiya gyoza museum. Here you’ll find regular mainstay brands, regularly rotating storefronts and an eat in space for you to taste and compare some of the best of Utsunomiya’s gyoza brands. There are 75 seats at the rotating, limited=time shops and 150 at the others to make sure there are plenty of places for you to sit.
Everyday you can visit the five mainstay brand shops, including Utsunomiya Min Min, Men Men, Koraku, Ryumon and Satsuki. Here you’ll find anything from the classic pan-fried, boiled or deep-fried dumplings, as well as a number of original styles and flavors like the shrimp gyoza, shizo dumplings, yuzu dumplings and soup dumplings to try.
In addition to the permanent stores area there is a daily rotation of over 30 different gyoza shops where we highly recommend the “moriawase” tasting platter with bites from five stores on a single plate.
There’s a souvenir corner as well where you can buy fresh, refrigerated gyoza from popular shops and plenty of buzz-worthy dumpling merchandise for your next social media post. You can buy for yourself or buy packs as special gifts to ship across Japan.
