Last update :

A specialist kamameshi (iron pot rice) restaurant founded in 1926. Historically, this is the restaurant that came up with the idea of kamameshi.
The style is to prepare and serve a single portion of rice and other ingredients in a pot. The servings are carefully prepared, one pot at a time, after as orders are placed.
It takes about 25 minutes to cook a pot of kamameshi, but it is so delicious that it is well worth the wait.
Ingredients include chicken and seafood, but seasonal kamameshi created using ingredients when they are at their best are also on offer.
This restaurant also has a great selection of dishes that can be enjoyed with an alcoholic drink at night.

Highlights

  • Eat kamameshi cooked up using ingredients in season.
  • Kamameshi takes a little time to prepare, so we recommend trying some other dishes as you wait.
  • Take-out is available. It is good to leave a little time to place your order with the restaurant then go to collect it.
