Mt.Yoshino has been famous for cherry blossoms since olden times and was registered as a World Heritage. In the early Showa period, a ropeway opened connecting both stations of the current Senbon-guchi and Yoshino-yama, behind this background, a founder had a desire that “I want to make a ropeway to carry people on Mt.Yoshino”. The ropeway has been loved by tourists of Mt. Yoshino for over 90 years.

By frequent maintenance of a station building, stilts, and outer walls, all facilities are still in the same condition as when they were built. It takes just about 3 minutes from Senbon-guchi station to Yoshino-yama station, a top of Mt.Yoshino, and Senbon-guchi station isn’t far from Yoshino station on Kintetsu line . The mountain shows various faces each season such as cherry blossoms in spring, foliages in autumn, and more. Yoshino-yama station will excite you as the entrance of sightseeing in Mt. Yoshino.

It is said that cherry blossom trees in Mt.Yoshino are about 30 thousand and bloom starting from the area of Shimo Senbon, Naka Senbon, Kami Senbon, and finally,Oku Senbon , and the peak is from the beginning to the end of April. Kinpusenji Temple established by En no Gyoja, the founder of Shugendo should be recommended to visit. Many special spots are located on the premises, for example, Zaodo, which is the second oldest wooden building following the Daibutsuden of Todaiji Temple , Niomon Gate resigned as a National Treasure, 3 statues of Zao Gongen which are each 7 meters in height, and more.

    從大阪搭乘近鐵特急缐到吉野站,出車站後走個幾分鐘就到吉野纜車千本口站,坐上日本最古老的纜車上山,一路上過來還蠻順的,避開路上擁擠的車潮。
