Hotel Iyaonsen

Nestled deep in the mountains, Hotel Iyaonsen offers breathtaking wild scenery from its outdoor bath right in front of the Iya River and the patio terrace with an impressive open view of the Iya Valley.

Here, a special cable car runs down to the Iya River and the beautiful outdoor bath with its pure hot spring water. The cable car slowly descends the 42 degree cliff amid scenes of spectacular nature. Enjoy a thrilling ride. Both the baths of Iya no Yu and Seseragi no Yu, nearly merge into the Iya River. The sounds of the river are very soothing. Every day, these baths exchange accordingly for males and females, so overnight guests can experience both baths.

The giant window at the open-view bath in the main building overlooks the seasonal scenery of the Iya Valley. This window view presents an amazing picture. The texture of spring water is soft and slightly sticky, indicating that it has a high alkaline content.

The dinner menus include wild vegetables, buckwheat noodles, cereals, and other ingredients produced in the rich surrounding nature. There is also a plan for Tokushima Prefecture's brand beef, Awa Beef.
