Sat along the historic Koshu Kaido road, Shuza Nakakyu Honten is a sake shop whose story dates back to 1860.

Step inside to find an impressive collection of alcoholic beverages, including Fuchu’s local sake, Kouzuru, which saw a revamped launch at Noguchi Sake Brewery in 2024. The shelves are lined with carefully sourced sake and shochu from breweries across Japan, along with wines, whiskies, and other spirits. Stock is thoughtfully curated to reflect the season so each visit comes with the delight of new discoveries.
One highlight is the tasting set, a special chance to sample different sakes and wines. Treat yourself to a tasteful journey into new favorite flavors and choose the perfect bottle as a souvenir.

Kura Cafe is direct popover to the liquor store, serving the sumptuous taste of Sake Lees Latte (600 yen) made from Sake lees. Head up to the 2nd floor of the cafe for special Sake sampling events, held once per month except in August. (Check website for operating days, reservations required).
