UAN Kanazawa

A hotel where you can experience Kanazawa's culture with the hopes of "still enjoying oneself even if it rains”.

Last update :

Kanazawa is a city where it rains so much that there is a saying, "it’s ok if you forget your lunchbox, but don’t forget your umbrella!” The hotel was named "Uan" in the hope that guests will enjoy not only sunny trips but also rainy trips to the fullest, and be “glad that it rained”.

In the lounge "Hare no Ma” on the first floor, visitors can casually experience Kanazawa culture through an exhibition of books and artworks related to Kanazawa and there is also free service of Kaga-bocha tea and soba noodles (9pm - 11pm). Visitors can also compare local sake and find their favorite sake with snacks (3pm-11:30pm). It is also nice to see the "rain" themed works of artists, such as Shinoryu's calligraphy sculpture, a scent box supervised by Souhitsu Hachiya, the 21st Iemoto successor of the Shino school of incense, and thread art by the creator team "secca".

The seven types of twin and double rooms are spacious and have a modern Japanese design. The rooms have round windows reminiscent of a tsuboniwa garden or a tea ceremony room, allowing you to get a feel of Kanazawa while staying in the room. All rooms also have a bathtub, so you can relax after a long day's travel.

The breakfast plan includes a menu featuring local ingredients such as Kaga vegetables, Noto pork, and Kanazawa's nodoguro (sea bream). There are two types of breakfasts, Japanese and Western, so we recommend that you choose the breakfast of your choice and spend a relaxing morning.
