From ski slopes in winter and so much more, this spot is well sought after for its lineup of thrilling things to do.

The ski slopes open each year in late December, bringing skiers remarkable views of Lake Biwa shimmering below as they descend. The slopes here are known for their top quality natural snow, made even better by world-class snow making machines for a time of heaping pristine, quality snow. There are nine courses to try, ranging from the novice “Uchimi Slope” to the expert-level “Horaikita Slope”, as well as the signature Horai Panorama Slope serving up full 360 views true to its name, an exclusive pairing of the glistening Like Biwa below with blankets of snow like no place before.

Beyond skiing, the resort offers year-round activities like zipline adventures and, during the green season, the Sky Walker. Children are known to adore the free sledding available on site.
