Higa Road Park

Higa Road Park is a scenic viewpoint along Prefectural Route 83. It is also popular as a place to stop and take a break during a drive or motorcycle tour.

Its biggest appeal is the open location, where you can take in sweeping views of the dynamic sea and sky. Below, crystal-clear water stretches out, so transparent that you can even see the coral reefs, and its beauty is enough to move anyone who sees it. You can also enjoy grand views of the East China Sea and, on clear days, spot distant Ogami Island, known as the Island of the Gods.
It is also known as a place to watch the sunrise and sunset, with dusk being especially recommended, when the sky and sea are colored in beautiful gradients. At night, the sky fills with stars, making it a popular place to enjoy a stunning starry sky as well.

The park is equipped with parking, restrooms, and vending machines, making it ideal for a break during a drive or motorcycle tour. There are also benches, so you can relax in the sea breeze while enjoying the view. In addition, Aragusuku Coast and Yoshino Coast, both famous snorkeling spots, are located along Route 83 and are well worth visiting together.
