Osaka Maishima Seaside Park

Home to the Nemophila Festival, which turns the bay area blue.

Last update :

This park is located on Maishima, an artificial island next to Yumeshima, the site of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. It opens every year for the Nemophila Festival, held from early April to around Golden Week.

The sight of Approx. 1 million nemophila flowers in full bloom across the Approx. 44,000-square-meter grounds is breathtaking. The vivid platinum blue of the nemophila blends with the blue of the sky and sea, creating a spectacular view unique to this park. The fresh daytime scenery is beautiful, and the nemophila glowing in the sunset is also not to be missed.

The park is also filled with photo spots, including a white monument spelling out “MAISHIMA,” the official character “Nemo-nyan” playing hide-and-seek in the flower fields, and an area with colorful tulips in bloom. An Instagram photo contest is also held, so posting your best shot is highly recommended.

Festival-only sweets in nemophila colors, such as blue soft serve ice cream, parfaits, and banana juice, are available, along with original goods featuring Nemo-nyan, making them perfect souvenirs from your trip.
